Dear Quality Colloquium Registrant, We are looking forward to welcoming you to Cambridge for The Quality Colloquium on the campus of Harvard University. We have listed below important information regarding the location of Memorial Hall and the Harvard Faculty Club (where the various sessions/functions will be held) as well as driving, parking and walking directions from any of the hotels where we have room blocks. Walking Directions to Annenberg Hall: From the Inn at Harvard, depart the rear door of the Inn and it's a straight shot down Quincy Street to Memorial Hall which will be on the upper left hand corner of the intersection. From the Harvard Square Hotel, take a left onto JFK Street to Harvard Square. Take a right on Massachusetts Avenue and go into Harvard Yard. From this entrance walk diagonally across the yard which will exit on the corner of Broadway and Quincy. Turn left on Quincy to Memorial Hall. Maps and information are also available at each hotel's web site (see above) from the airport, the train station and I-93 North and South and Mass Pike, Rte 90, West if driving. The URL for the Harvard Map system is http://www.map.harvard.edu/. If driving, go to www.MapQuest.com for free maps and driving directions from your destination to any of the hotels or directly to Memorial Hall. Parking: For those of you who will be driving to Memorial Hall, the parking is especially difficult and parking is expensive if you don't plan ahead! Any participant who is bringing a vehicle to campus must secure a parking permit, or be subject to ticket and/or tow. On Sunday you may find a spot in metered parking but we strongly recommend that your best option is to purchase a daily permit for $5 for weekend days and $10.00 for week days. To do this, please contact the Parking Office at Harvard at 617-495-3772 prior to August 4th. Last minute parking permits are available for purchase on-site at the following address: Harvard University Parking Services 46 Blackstone Street Cambridge, MA 02139 Phone Number: 617.495.3772 Fax Number: 617.495.9119 E-mail: parking@harvard.edu The Parking office has moved from 3 Bow St. to 46 Blackstone St., Cambridge. The suggested garage is the 52 Oxford Garage which is a secure, 24 hour facility that requires a permit and an access card. The most direct way to get to the garage is to follow Massachusetts Avenue (from the Inn) and go north towards the Law School. Take a right onto Everett Street. You will come to a set of lights. Go straight through and approach the guard at the booth. This is the entrance to 52 Oxford Street. The university has a very detailed on-line map if you have any questions.
