GLEN ALLEN VA, USA -- HEALTHCARE UPDATE NEWS SERVICE(TM) -- NOVEMBER 17, 2005: HRAI Coding Specialists, LLC ("HRAI") today announced the successful roll-out of the firm's newest course, the Professional Services Version of the firm's Medicare Boot Camp(r) series. The Medicare Boot Camp(r) - Professional Services Version is an intensive, four and a half-day course on Medicare coverage, billing, coding and payment for physician and non-physician practitioner services.
The first class, held October 3-7 in Richmond, VA, was attended by reimbursement, coding and billing staff from a variety of professional practice settings. Participants gave the course an overall evaluation score of 4.86 (on a scale of 1 to 5) and were unanimous in their praise for the course and instructor. Comments from the evaluations included: "Outstanding, gave relevant examples that relate to the real world", "Highly accurate materials, careful to note when the regulations are unclear", "Challenging, yet informative exercises", "Especially appreciate consistent application of source documents".
The course is being offered at various locations around the United States. For the remainder of 2005 and early 2006, the following classes have been scheduled:

This new course is modeled after HRAI's other popular Medicare Boot Camp(r) course - the Hospital Version and the Long Term Care Version. The Professional Services Version course focuses on the Medicare regulations and guidelines applicable to professional services. The course is taught using a combination of lecture, class discussion and hands-on exercises/case studies. The objective of the course is to provide course participants with a detailed understanding of the Medicare "rules" with a particular emphasis on the real world application of those rules.
"We want people to come away with the knowledge and tools they need to stay abreast of Medicare's rules for professional services so they can bill for their services correctly the first time", explains Hugh Aaron, MHA, JD, CPC, CPC-H, HRAI's President. "People had heard about our Medicare Boot Camps(r) for hospitals and long term care facilities and were interested in a similar course focusing strictly on billing for professional services," Mr. Aaron added.
