This event will feature a conversation between Michael Chernew, former chair of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), and Paragon's Demetrios Kouzoukas, former director of Medicare at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from 2017 to 2021.
MedPAC is a legislative agency that reviews Medicare payment policy to make recommendations to Congress. MedPAC's mission includes assessing Medicare's efficiency, quality, and access, as well as its impact on health care delivery generally. MedPAC's work is widely cited by lawmakers, researchers, and policy analysts in discussions of Medicare reforms.
