DURHAM NC USA -- HEALTHCARE UPDATE NEWS SERVICE -- MAY 8, 2025: In just a few days, we are hosting our fourth annual Health Policy Conference to explore ways to make health care better and more affordable for all Americans. During our opening session, the new Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator and CMS Innovation Center Director will offer insight into the agency’s fresh vision, and will share innovative strategies for transforming health care and building healthier lives for Americans while protecting the federal taxpayer.
Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz will offer introductory remarks followed by a fireside chat with Director Abe Sutton and Duke-Margolis Director Mark McClellan.
Later, we look forward to hearing from Governor Wes Moore, State of Maryland, who will discuss practical approaches to reforming health care and improving health in Maryland, with valuable insights for the whole country.
