2014 CAPG COLLOQUIUM ON PHYSICIAN GROUPS IN MEDICARE ADVANTAGE
We invite and encourage you to attend the first annual CAPG Colloquium on Physician Groups in Medicare Advantage scheduled for October 6-8 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC. Medicare Advantage is the best existing example of a healthcare delivery and payment model that incentivizes coordinated care and high quality -- as differentiated from volume-based systems. MA is under growing financial pressure from legislative and regulatory changes, while our nation's seniors are seeking out these programs in ever-growing numbers. Learn from successful MA providers how to excel in this critical healthcare sector, and how to build the coordinated care platform and infrastructure you'll need to effectively serve all patient populations -- now and in the future. Our conference is designed to give you the knowledge and perspective you need, and the opportunity to benefit from the nation's thought leaders and your colleagues from across the country.

TOPICS TO BE COVERED/LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Medicare Advantage has been the foundation for development of a sophisticated model of coordinated, accountable care that delivers value, saves unnecessary cost, and results in high satisfaction among patients, families and providers. As a result of the accomplishments of this MA approach, more than thirty percent of people who age into Medicare eligibility are now choosing MA plans over traditional Medicare.
- There is broad recognition that the Affordable Care Act presents a mandate to provide this level of care to all populations as healthcare reform rolls out across the U.S. The coordinated, accountable care MA movement has been recognized as a highly effective method of achieving this goal. Outside of a very few isolated areas of the U.S, however, this model has been slow to take hold, due to a lack of know-how and experience among physicians and healthcare leadership.
- This conference will offer a strong cohort of MA experts, including both national thought leaders and clinical leadership from elite providers who have the expertise to provide the knowledge and tools to accomplish change. The conference provides both policy and leadership guidance and multiple drill-down "how to" sessions, with the specific tools, best practices and methods needed to be successful.
- Participants will hear from MA policy luminaries and Congressional advocates, health plan national leadership, and top-level practitioners on effective operations and accountable care excellence.
- Participants will learn how leading MA providers are drawing on these strategies and tools improve the health of their MA enrollees and of their communities.
