AUDIOCONFERENCE OVERVIEW

Comparing, Contrasting and Complying with the Various Medical Device Global Codes of Conduct: The Codes of Conduct for various countries differ from one another in terms of content and expectations. Integrating these various codes when attempting to implement global compliance policies can be complicated and difficult to manage. This audio conference will provide a high-level overview of various codes in context with legal and operational realities. Content will include a look at legal and enforcement issues internationally as well as some of the key differences between various global codes. Leaders in the industry will provide case studies regarding their experiences associated with using and implementing codes of conduct on an international basis. At the conclusion of the audio conference, participants will be provided information on how to use the 2008 Huron Medical Device Compliance Compendium (a primer on international codes and their differences) as a tool in decision-making and compliance process development.

WHAT IS AN AUDIOCONFERENCE?

It is a live event that includes session handouts, an interactive question and answer period, and access for an unlimited number of participants at each call-in site. However, only one site can be offered per registration. It is impermissible for an organization to purchase one registration and to operate multiple sites through an internal telephone system. During the live Audioconference participants will be able to ask questions and make comments. The Audioconference faculty has agreed to take follow-up questions via email. Audioconferences are simple, accessible, cost effective and reach a broad audience locally.
