LOS ANGELES CA, USA -- PAYMENT/DELIVERY SYSTEM REFORM UPDATE NEWS SERVICE™ -- AUGUST 19, 2022: Anthony Fauci, MD, will address the topic, "Physicians, Biomedical Science, and Public Health Crises: A Career's Worth of Reflections," on November 2 at Transitions 2022: APG Colloquium, October 31 - November 2, at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC.

Since his appointment in 1984 to lead the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Fauci has been instrumental in advancing the science behind infectious and chronic diseases and marshaling the nation's response to a staggering series of threats and outbreaks. At NIAID, he has overseen a broad portfolio of research in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of everything from asthma and autoimmune conditions to COVID-19 and Zika. He helped lead the nation's fight against HIV-AIDS from the 1980s onward and was a leading architect of PEPFAR, the US global AIDS response that has helped to save millions of lives worldwide.

Dr. Fauci has advised seven Presidents; earned the National Medal of Freedom from President George W. Bush, and currently serves as the chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden.

In our fireside chat, Dr. Fauci will reflect on his role as a leading physician and scientist confronting some of the foremost challenges facing America's health care and public health systems. He will also offer inspiration to current and future generations of clinicians who are similarly called to the cause of improving human health.
