LOS ANGELES CA, USA -- PAYMENT/DELIVERY SYSTEM REFORM UPDATE NEWS SERVICE™ -- MAY 27, 2022: New speakers have just been added to the APG Annual Conference program. This year's Conference has 12 outstanding Breakout Sessions to choose from. Breakouts are tailored to your experience level with risk-based care: New to Risk, Highly Experienced with Risk, or All Levels of Experience with Risk.

Check out these two Breakouts:

The Future of Risk Adjustment
Highly Experienced with Risk

Risk adjustment and its key input, Hierarchical Condition Coding, are key features of Medicare Advantage and the ACO REACH model. Can current methodologies be improved? An expert panel, led by Robert Saunders, PhD, from the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, will discuss and debate potential alternatives.

MSSP 10 Years Later: Lessons Learned, Lessons Yet to Be Taught
All Levels of Experience with Risk

The first Medicare Shared Saving Program (MSSP) Accountable Care Organizations launched ten years ago. What have participants learned about the program and about finding success as an ACO? How does participating in an MSSP affect provider practice patterns? Are the savings and quality gains generated worthwhile, despite the relatively low number of participating organizations? Has a successor generation of ACOs, dubbed Pathways to Success, curbed providers' appetite to participate even further? This informative discussion will be moderated by Philip M. Oravetz, MD, MPH, MBA, Chief Population Health Officer at Ochsner Health.
